When I heard that Rhinebeck was in New York, I checked with Google Maps to see if it's in the part of NY that I'm really close to. It's not; it's 5.5 hours away.

Oh, and I have no income; I'm just spending my retirement money these days, so I didn't let myself go.

So in my bitterness over being closer than before but still not close enough to go, and not having money to spend there anyway, I'm officially not giving a shit about some damn festival with yarn in it. The PMS is helping with the bitterness, and the chocolate helps distract me from my jealousy toward all the lucky bitches that are there.

That's the sarkasmo I know and love. It it makes you feel any better I was more than 5.5 hours from there and no one has ever seen a real live sheep-like creature around these parts.

You could try Pluck or Newsgator to aggregate your feeds. I keep going back to bloglines because I think it's the most user-friendly. Oh I bitch about it from time to time, but it really does do a lot of work for me.

That said, I like people who don't use RSS to surf blogs. I like the idea of people actually going to the blog and reading the post in the template the writer thoughtfully setup. It's more like going to that person's home and having a conversation surrounded by their atmosphere. I think it's much more polite and dignified.

I use google reader to read the articles, and then I visit the blog to comment. That way, if I don't have to open a gazillion tabs, I can avoid it. :)
