Right

Right bloody sick of knitting these:

I should never have given up my dream to be a hand model because I rock this glove…

I decided to knit the mitten cap like a short row toe with a provisional cast on. The side by my pinky got all sorts of funky. You would think it was the purl side of the short rowing. You would think. And you would be wrong. The purl side is perfect. It’s the knit side that sucks some hot ass. But notice my lovelies that it is attached to the glove.

Because that’s how I roll. Stitching some crappy knitting to some not that crappy knitting. Anyway it looks pretty good and more importantly, the BF will not notice.

C(r)ap on. This glove will look better on a much bigger hand.

You may have noticed that I am speaking in the singular when discussing this. That is because I have lost my will to knit another cap and weave in all those crap ends. (the glove is finished otherwise). No one said anything about second glove syndrome, but oh my god it’s worse than socks. I’ll finish tomorrow. Because I need to get these to the boy before his shoot in Boston is over. Or I die of boredom, whichever comes first

I also blame ebay for sucking up about 6 hours of my day and most of my soul. Some jackass hacked my account and I spent the better part of today trying to sort things out.

On a lighter note I’ve been trying to stalk to Yarn Harlot. And failing miserably I might add. She’s coming to L.A. to film Knitty Gritty (no snarkiness about K.G. until after she’s been here, K?) and I totally want to take her out for a beer and food at Real Food Daily. I also want to do her hair because I am a freaking hair dork, but I think I might have freaked her out a bit about that. I specialize in fine curly hair. Because? 90% of actresses have that kind of hair and I have had that awesomeness burned into my fingers. Literally. Anyway, if you’re over at yarnharlot put in a good word for me.

Heh, good luck. I wish you success with hanging with the Harlot. I know if anyone does my hair, I love them forever if they actually KNOW HOW TO COPE WITH IT and make me not look like a Little House on the Prairie reject.(I’ve got long, straight hair that will not hold a curl this side of a night of hot roller love).
You gotta do the 2nd glove. Think of how you’ll perfect that mitten cap. It’ll be beautiful. And the first one looks great, despite the wonky, really.

I can’t be snarky about KG, but I can be snarky about other stuff, yes? Because the title of your post is Right and you have a left glove. Just sayin. And you KNOW I feel your pain about the weaving when it comes to gloves, because this was me, last year.

Heading over to Yarn Harlot now. :)

Also, just because I don’t want the same thing to happen to you: be sure to stitch the next mitten cap onto the BACK of the right glove.
