Hi, Wendy!

What colorway is that Scout yarn? I just made a pair of socks with some of her yarn. Cuff down. I started at the beginning of a long run of color and it worked out pretty well.

JenLa Barbosa

Look me up once I get off of Orientation Island.

I needed a new time-waster. Civ III is getting boring

HAHAHA! Isn't Second Life the one with its own economy, and someone was trying to get the SL money to work in real life, too? Just in case, make sure you don't throw away any lottery tickets in the game, either.

Can't you write off all your yarny gifts as charitable donations?

Hey! Good to hear from you.
Good luck with the move. I just recently recycled 7 dozen boxes. 7. Dozen. ARGGGH. But of course I was keeping them around because they might be useful and it burns my little miserly heart to have to BUY a box.
My filing system is 3-phase (because I too dislike filing): 1) inbox - anything that needs keeping. No organization, just a pile
2) small plastic filing cabinet with folders for each category. Can't ever have too many folders. Inbox gets sorted into here when the pile gets too big. Sorting only takes an hour once a month or so.
3) permanent storage, i.e. cardboard boxes full of folders and envelopes. When stuff doesn't fit into small filing cabinet anymore it ages out to permanent storage. I scribble the file name and date on the 8x12 envelope or folder so I remember how old it is.

It works pretty well for me with a minimum of effort, and I can find anything I need without too much digging. Permanent storage is the hardest to get to but has the oldest crap and so is almost never needed except when I have to dig out 4 years of tax returns or stuff like that.

I have a friend who works for Second Life, it looks like it's finally got off the ground. Cool pictures.

missed you. If your gonna live in a Barbie world, you gotta be packing a .40cal glock with a laser site. Mmmmm, better yet, make it a .45 instead,as long as your not recoil sensitive. Have fun!

I haven't knit up my scout yarn, but on my Socks That Rock, it didn't look stripey when I did the toe first, but when I started the foot, it was fine. So knit a little more before you make a decision!
